Sectorial Conference: Syria March 9-12, 2006
The conference was a big success with around 70 people
attending. Most of the participants came from Syria, but
a few guests came from Turkey, Japan and Singapore. Another
conference will be held in Syria in September. Details will be
posted soon.

Computer Course Opens in Albania
We have
installed six computers in a newly renovated room attached to
the Ananda Marga kindergarten, near Tirana. High school
students and adults are attending the introductory course,
which takes place in an area where few people can afford to
have their own computers.

Sectorial Conference Held in Croatia
Our
annual conference was held on our master unit, Ananda Bandhu.
Margiis from several countries of the sector came together for
a program of collective meditation, akhanda kiirtan,
workshops and presentations on spiritual and social
philosophy.

Albanian
Kindergarten Celebrates 5th Anniversary
The
Ananda Marga kindergarten in Albanian is now entering its
sixth year of existence. The kindergarten serves children in a
low income area, who would otherwise not have a place in any
kindergarten. Several hundred children have benefited from the
program in the last five years.

50th Anniversary
Symposium Program:
Damascus and Beirut Welcome Ananda Marga
Around 300 people
filled an auditorium in Damascus on May 7, 2005 to hear the
presentations of Ananda Marga Acaryas. The symposium,
which was held to mark the 50th anniversary of Ananda Marga,
was co-sponsored by the Syrian Sport Union and was covered by
national television and newspapers. Other symposium programs,
with lectures on spirituality, education, health and
neo-humanism were held in Beirut and Swaida (Syria) in the
local Ananda Marga centers.

Ananda
Marga's 50th Anniversary:
First Symposium Held In Cyprus
Ananda
Marga is now fifty years old. In these past
fifty years the teachings of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti have
spread to every nook and corner of the world.
 This year we are
commemorating this anniversary with symposia
in different cities in our Sector. The first symposium
was held in Cyprus on March 5, 2005. There were lectures by
Dadas Gunamuktananda, Lokeshananda and Vedaprajinananda and a
presentation on Neo Humanistic education by Didi Ananda Rama.
Dada Nabhaniilananda concluded the program, performing some of
his songs accompanied by a slide show. Similar programs will
be held in Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Croatia and Egypt during
the rest of the year.

Community
Service in Albania
Ananda Marga runs a very popular kindergarten in one of the
poorest areas of Albania. A micro credit program and English
classes for adults are other programs offered in the same neighbourhood.

kirtan, meditation, lectures, a cultural program and an
